Poliport was founded in 1971 in Dilovası, where Polisan Holding facilities are located, in an attempt to provide bulk liquid services. With its jetty, pier, embarkment, and warehousing facilities, Poliport is one of the largest ports, closest to İstanbul on the Anatolian side.

Poliport has 3 main operational activities:

Bulk Liquid Services, capturing 52% share
in revenues, have the highest profitability.

Of the total cargo handled, 27% is the Turkey’s 3. export item; chemicals and petroleum products, which have higher added-value compared to other business lines. The cargo handled generates revenue of ~$20 per ton. Since 1990s, the world’s largest manufacturers such as Dow, BASF, Bayer, and Shell are among the clients of Poliport. The annual handling capacity of the terminal is 2.5 million tons. In 2015, 1.25 million tons of cargo was handled in bulk liquid storage terminal increasing by 28.1% compared to 2014. In 2015, the terminal fill rate was 91%.

Dry Bulk and General Cargo Services
constitute 35% of Poliport revenues.

Dry bulk pier has an annual handling capacity of 5 million tons and the products mainly handled are coal, aluminum, different types of tin, iron, shaped tube, urea, grains, silica, and forestry products. The cargo handled generates revenue of ~$3.7 per ton. In 2015, the cargo handled increased by 8.4% to 3.36 million tons compared to 2014.

Warehouse Services
are provided on a 29,000 square meter land.

Warehouses services constitute ~13% of Poliport’s revenues. The cargo stored in warehouses generates revenue of approximately $8.2 per ton. Through its website, Poliport provides with the opportunity to track the inventory and delivery of the products stored in A Type General Warehouses where it offers storage and logistic services. In 2015, 582,200 tons of cargo was stored in A Type General Warehouses.
